We have a lot of awesome kids join us at the Socratic Summer Academy. While at SSA, Jared’s verbal score increased 110 points, and he surpassed 500 points on both sections for the first time - a huge barrier to break when applying to college! Here is an interview between Alyssa and Jared.

What do you think is the difference between an SSA class and a high school class?
First of all, it’s smaller. My high school has 2,000 kids. But basically it’s really focused on helping you get better. It’s all about talking out the problem and helping you understand it.
Have you seen a significant score increase?
I have! In just two weeks it’s gone up 100 points.
That’s a great improvement!
Yeah! And I haven’t had Algebra 2 yet, so that will be a huge improvement afterwards.
