As we have in recent years, Socratic Summer Academy will combine with the Yleana Leadership Academy, our non-profit summer camp experience for low-SES kids from urban areas, and run a single camp. All profits made at Socratic Summer Academy go directly to fund students at the Yleana Leadership Academy - so you can feel doubly good about your student’s summer!

Students’ experiences will be the same - the strategies we teach at the two camps are identical, but this year students will enjoy some extra classes:
- d. thinking class that helps build critical thinking
- entrepreneurship class
- the opportunity to participate in a One-Day Startup Fair that allows students to work with real live entrepreneur/business/professional mentors for a day
Students will also participate in perspective-taking and empathy-building in our Social Justice Issues class.

SSA & Yleana have historically combined for traditional summer camp events, like campfire under the stars on Saturday nights where we roast marshmallows and make S’mores, our ice cream sundae party on Sunday nights, Sunday selects, capture the flag, big story games, etc.
